The origin of the name comes from a twisting and turning holy path found in Jordan. SiQ is heavily influenced by music from the far reaches of the world, with 'far' being a relative term. Formed about two years ago in 2003, the sounds include; the irrepressible electric bass-lines of Ting, subtly banging of the drums by Gary, Shum's incredible vocal chord flexing and Bao Zha's unflappable manners on any fancy guitar he picks up.

The band looks forward to recording a project under the peerless direction of Rebel Studio. The project they hope to express will conspicuously be a reflection of their contrasting views of society, pieced arduously together and hopefully be well received. This harvest of their labour will be presented early 2006.
